For long life, drift-free operation, choose Super OMEGACLAD™ XL mineral insulated thermocouple cable and our rugged transition joint probes, which are available in Type K and N calibrations. Inconel® overbraided silica ceramic and ceramic insulation provide cost-effective operation of the transition joint at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F). See the highlighted section in the table.

Is the sensing element isolated from the sensing tip itself, such that it can be in direct contact with electrical conductors?

Thank you for your inquiry. The TJ36-CASS-18U-6-CC is ungrounded where the junction is not welded to the sheath. However, the TJ36 is not voltage or current rated.
