Omega IIoT experts don't aim to sell you sensors.
Here's why.
We are Industrial IoT focused (not common IoT) because accuracy and reliablity matters. The systems we support are too complex and, sometimes, too high-stakes for generic IoT solutions.
Omega Link is designed for extreme flexibility to meet the precise demands of highly-variable, customized industrial environments. This means Omega Link works both with and without Omega sensors.
Our mission is to help you get connected.
FAQs
Scroll through to get answers to common questions about Omega Link.
What sensor types can I use?
The system is compatible with any thermocouple (TC) or resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor and all sensors with standard 4 to 20 mA signaling. We offer a wide selection of rugged smart probes, from non-contact IR sensors to a full range of sensor types including temperature, humidity, process, RTD, thermocouple, pulse and more. When in doubt we recommend you ask our experts and we'll be happy to verify connectivity of any probe.
Does this require Omega Link Cloud to work?
While recommended, the system does not require Omega Cloud to work. Data can be stored on a local PC, using OEG (Omega Enterprise Gateway) software from where it can also be integrated with a data warehouse, business intelligence system or other enterprise data management solution.
What is Modbus?
Modbus is a standard data communications protocol used to connect industrial electronic devices.
Do I have to use Omega sensors?
No.
Where is my data stored?
Data is logged on the sensor and stored either on the cloud (if you select Omega Cloud service) or you can store on a local PC; if stored locally that data can also be integrated with a data warehouse, business intelligence system or other enterprise data management solution.
Can it support multiple locations?
Yes. Installing a gateway at each location allows you to span the system across as many facilities as you see fit. If you use Omega Cloud you can easily view sensor data across multiple gateways/facilities out-of-box, no additional data set up required.
Can we get installation support?
Most system installations are straightforward, and we offer phone support if needed. If you're working on a high-complexity installation please reach out to us so we can assess how to best help your team.
What is the annual service fee?

16 | $89 |
32 | $149 |
64 | $249 |
128 | $399 |
256 | $599 |
Why is there an annual service fee?
Omega Cloud infrastructure uses service providers like AWS and Google, which have associated costs to maintain.
How do we access our data if we don't use Omega Cloud?
Data can be stored on a local PC; if stored locally that data can also be integrated with a data warehouse, business intelligence system or other enterprise data management solution.
Do you offer post-sales support?
Yes. We have technical experts ready to support if issues/questions arise after purchase.
Can I prevent my staff/clients from making system changes from the portal?
Yes. Omega Cloud allows administrators to designate ready-only access for users.
Why do I need to see sensor data in dashboards / reports?
Discreet sensor readings are only a snapshot. Tracking data over time and comparing multiple measurement types (like temperature + humidity) provides a holistic view of the performance of your system. Data visualization offers a convenient way of turning measurements to insights that help you do your job.
How many sensors can it support?
Each gateway can support up to 128 sensors. The system can support up to 2,000 gateways.
