Alert: DywerOmega USA offices and shipping warehouses will be closed for the holiday 11/28/2024 and 11/29/2024.
Omega has a state-of-the-art Temperature Calibration Laboratory that uses a Sophisticated HVAC system to control both the temperature and humidity to precise limits. This ensures the best accuracy from the high precision measurement equipment used inside. The lab is built as a room within a room to eliminate temperature fluctuations from exterior walls and all high temperature furnaces are located outside the lab to ensure temperature and humidity stability inside the lab.
Omega uses a variety of fluid baths, furnaces, and calibrators to perform temperature calibrations over a wide temperature range. Each heat source is outfitted with an independent NIST traceable standard. The most accurate equipment is selected for each calibration situation to provide the lowest temperature measurement uncertainties.
Omega Calibrations offer the following:
Omega’s temperature calibration lab has the resources to test from -118°F (-80°C) to 2372°F (1300°C).
Omega also has the capability of testing at the boiling point of Liquid Nitrogen, -320°F (-196°C). Maximum calibration temperature range is based upon probe configuration and useable length.
Temperature Range | Minimum Probe Length |
0°C to 100°C | 2 to 4 inches (depends upon configuration) |
101°C to 200°C | 5 to 8 inches (depends upon configuration) |
201°C to 400°C | >8 inches |
400°C to 1000°C | >14 inches |
1000°C to 1150°C | >18 inches |
1150°C to 1300°C | >24 inches |
CAL-1 documents that the products you buy comply with Omega's specifications. This calibration is normally FREE and gives you additional assurance that what you are buying is exactly what has been specified in the product specifications.
CAL-2 documents not only that the equipment you buy meets the published specification, but also that calibration and testing were performed using NIST-traceable equipment.
CAL-3 provides temperature deviation data at Omega’s pre-determined temperature points as well as a list of all test equipment used with calibrations traceable to NIST. This calibration is performed in accordance with ISO-10012-1 and ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1-1994 requirements. This certificate is available for most Omega manufactured thermocouple, RTD, and Thermistor temperature measurement probes.

Note: CAL document shown above is representative of information provided. Actual document may vary in appearance.
CAL-4 is similar to the CAL-3 except that specific temperature points are chosen by the customer. This calibration is also performed in accordance with ISO-10012-1 and ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1-1994 requirements. This certificate is available for most Omega manufactured thermocouple, RTD, and Thermistor temperature measurement probes.
CAL-5 documents that a thermocouple probe was made from a spool of Omega's MI thermocouple wire checked at various temperatures. This certificate is not NIST traceable. The process is known as a “batch calibration” because all the probes cut from the same spool are tested at the same data points.
