The 88000 series roller surface probes provides a means of measuring moving surfaces without stopping the process. Equipped with rollers these probes can obtain a temperature while a surface remains in motion.

Model 88201(*) and Model 98201(*) with Swivel Head
A roller-surface probe, for use on moving or rotating, smooth surfaces with a velocity up to 61 meters (200 ft.) per minute. Max. surface temperature of 205°C 400°F).

Model 88202(*) and Model 98202(*) with Swivel Head
A roller-surface probe, ideal for measuring outside wall temperatures of smooth plastic or steel piping. Can be used on moving or rotating surfaces of 22 to 60 inches in diameter, with 90 meters (300 ft.) per minute max. surface velocity. Max. surface temperature of 205°C (400°F). Model 88203(*) and Model 98203(*) with Swivel Head

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Probe Used it to measure the temperature of plates in a laminator at speeds up to 175 ft/min and temperatures from 115-175F. Worked very well. Temperatures were very repeatable. Made a difficult task much easier and produced data I have more confidence in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from accurate and quick This thermocouple was exactly what I needed to accurately measure the surface temperature of a hot rotation stainless steel drum. I had tried IR imaging with special tapes to increase emissivity of the surface and found the values to be in a much wider range than what I was expecting for this type of metal. I am much happier with the data. Thanks for the great product!

Until I found this little beauty there was no way to accurately measure the heat of a 36" diameter x 16 foot spinning heated drum. The device is perfect for the application, my only wish is that it came in a better storage case becides that cardboard box it was shipped in.

I have a 98202K which worked great but quit working with no visible break in the sensor strip. It is nice that a spare strip is supplied with instructions for replacing the strip and some sort of troubleshooting guide or manual would be helpful.
