The RHXL5SD is a low cost, high performance handheld temperature and humidity meter with data logging capability. It offers a four variable display to show the temperature and humidity form a handheld probe and a separate K type thermocouple connected via a standard SMP type miniature connector to the T2 input along with a real time clock. High and Lo alarms can be set to T1, T2, and RH inputs. The temperature/humidity probe uses a semiconductor and polymer capacitive sensor. Because the RHXL5SD is microprocessor-based, it can make full use of the portability, reliability, and large storage capacities that SD memory cards offer. Measurements can be made automatically at any sampling rate between 5 seconds and 1 hour, or manually. Data is downloaded directly from the SD card.
RHXL5SD includes Meter, 9V battery, Universal AC/9V Power Supply and plug adapters, Calibration Certificate, K-type thermocouple, Combination Temperature/Humidity Probe, 8G SD Card, and hard black carrying case

Temp/rH MeterNice little temp rH meter that was easy and fast to order direct from Omega. Been using Omega meters my entire career (20+ years) and they have always been reliable. Came with everything you need to get up and running. Case, meter, temp/rH probe, type K thermocouple, battery, SD card and wall power adapter. Even included calibration certificate. Owners manual will need to be viewed online at Omega's website.
How often is it recommended to calibrate this unit?
Asked by: RSilver
Omega's general recommendation is to do a calibration once a year. If the meter is heavily used or in a critical application the customer can schedule more frequent calibrations.

Is the accuracy of the RH +/- 0.3%
Asked by: Nicole123
The RH accuracy is +/- 2.5% when the instrument is in a 25C, < 70% RH ambient environment. Outside this ambient environment the RH accuracy is +/- 5%. The Type K Thermocouple input accuracy is +/- 0.3% of reading +1.0 C.

Will I damage the remote temperature probe if I expose it to a temperature of 70 - 75 C?
Asked by: david424
The remote probes maximum exposure temperature is 60C so if it is exposed above this temperature failure could occur or de-calibration.

AM I reading this right, are both the humidity probe and the TC probe 1 meter long cables, or is that only the TC and not the RH probe? It i shard to see from the photo, the RH probe looks very short. Thanks.
Asked by: lobo11
Thank you for your inquiry. Both the Temperature/Relative Humidity Probe and the Thermocouple Probe are 1 meter long.

Hello,
Before I purchase this item, I would like to know if this unit can be calibrated by an independent laboratory (someone other than Omega). My company has a laboratory that does periodic calibration of all our measuring equipment.
Asked by: gary09
Hi Gary,
Thank you for the inquiry. This unit does have calibration functions as indicated in the manual. The probe is not replaceable though.
Best regards

Does this interface directly with Excel? How do you download and recall the data from the data logger? Do I require specialized software that I must purchase from you'all?
Asked by: lobo11
Thank you for your question.
You do not require any special software for this product as it saves all the data on an SD card as a CSV file. These files can then be opened and red by Microsoft Excel.
