The MPJ Miniature Panel Jack requires less than half of the panel area required by the Standard Size connectors. A simple push-on clip is all that is required to retain the connector in a rectangular cutout, or the optional MSS snap strip can be used to mount a row. Angled terminal screws allow wiring to be done after panel assembly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jack works great! Jack works great. I would recommend reducing the size of the cut-out in order to better stabilize the jack when installed. Otherwise it's loose and sloppy.

What is the maximum panel thickness these are compatible with?

Asked by: AnBri
The panel for this connector when using the spring clip should be at least .090 INCHES thick which is our standard panel thickness for MPJ Jack Panels. The max panel thickness allowed is 0.187 INCHES.

Hi We are using the Miniature Panel Jacket omega PN MPJ-K-F, do you have some assembly instructions for it?, which is the recommended torque for the screws?

Asked by: Octaviano
Thank you for the question regarding the MPJ- series jack panels. Unfortunately, we do not have a formal installation procedure for these and or recommended torque figures for the screws. A basic installation recommendation for the panel screws can be found on the MJP data sheet here: https://assets.omega.com/pdf/connectors/jack-panel-assemblies/panel-jack-assemblies/MJP.pdf . This is the recommended set up for installation of the panel itself. The jacks themselves are a clip-in connector and are clipped in by pushing them into the same side as the mounting screws. If using a snap-strip, simple hand-tightening is adequate for the snap-strip into the connectors. Similarly, hand-tightening all the connector screws is adequate and recommended. Our apologies, there are no specific maximum torque ratings for these screws.
