The OM-EL-USB-TC thermocouple data logger measures and stores over 32,000 temperature readings from either a Type J, Type K or Type T thermocouple which plugs into a miniature female thermocouple receptacle at the base of the unit. The user can easily set up the initial data logging parameters including thermocouple type, logging rate, start-time, high/low alarm settings, logging mode and desired temperature units (°C or °F) and also download the stored data by plugging the module straight into a PC’s USB port and running the easy-to-use Windows software.

Downloaded data can then be graphed, printed and exported to other applications such as Excel. The usb thermocouple data logger is supplied complete with a long-life lithium battery. Data logger status is indicated by flashing red, green and orange LEDs.

This thermocouple data logger can be utilized in a variety of applications ranging from laboratory temperature measurement to in-field testing. Its compact size make it an ideal choice for any portable application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the field testing I have purchased about 40 of these for various applications. I used them in our manufacturing to gather information on a cooling system. I have used them taking temperatures of tree bark and air. They come complete and ready to use. With a simple (very easy to use) program (downloaded onto your computer) which sets them up, starts and stops and downloads the data onto your computer. In the field, I wrap the logger in a ziplock bag to protect them from the weather and leave them for weeks at a time collecting data. In every application they have worked flawlessly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, great price point. Easy to setup, use, recover data. Well made and at this cost is expendable for use in questionable environment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used it in a different way Mounted the datalogger to a coupling spinning 3000 rpm to collect temperature data of the inner ring of bearing. This was much more economical than $17K for a telemetry system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from senior field service rep really great. nice and small and easy to use. the only issue is replacing the batteries. the tab to push down to separate the body is the weak point. this can break and then the 2 pieces will not stay together. a little tape is needed to keep the pieces together

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple yet powerful device. We have been using this logger to track the performance of our thermoforming oven for inconsistencies. Easy to set up and use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Composite part cure cycle tracking Awesome! Very easy to set up and pull data from so we can track our cure cycles without needing to have a complicated integrated data recorder system in our big oven.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Resolution The resolution is only 0.5 C. I was wondering if you have the one with 0.1 C.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a durable device.. This device is too flimsy and snap of the battery compartment did not close properly. The data out put is also not good. Returned it.

Do I need to enter the date and time every time I start my oven run? How many files can it hold in its memory?

Asked by: Ravinder
Thank you for your question. You do not have to enter time/date every time you start the logger unless you are configuring for delayed time/date start. The memory will retain 32,000 readings.

Does this logger and/or the thermocouple come with a calibration certificate? Is it calibratable or can you recommend one that is?

Asked by: Fishy
Thank you for your question. The logger is supplied with a Cal-1 (cert of conformance) and cannot be calibrated by the user. Please see OM-CP-TC101A which is supplied with a cert with points and user can calibrate provided they have the proper equipment to do so. Please note if you purchase the Om-cp logger you will be required to purchase OM-CP-IFC200 ( software and cable) to configure the logger. https://www.omega.com/en-us/control-and-monitoring-devices/data-loggers/om-cp-tc101a-series/p/OM-CP-TC101A?searchterm=om-cp-tc101a

Hi, I am interested in this product. I do have some questions. 1. In the initial setup, am i required to enter date, time? 2. Once this is entered, does it keep date and time going forward always?

Asked by: Ravinder
Thank you for your question. When you initially connect the logger to the PC the software will automatically synch the time and date to your PC clock and there is no need for manually setting time/date.
