High-high/low-low indications are also available, and optional single pole double throw relays can be assigned to one or both alarm triggers. Additionally, users can customize two annunciators and three display colors for alarm notifications.
Featuring a large, three-color, nine-segment programmable LED display, the PLATINUM Series can change color and output state with each alarm trigger. A six-digit display option is also available. The universal power supply accommodates 90 to 240 Vac, while a low-voltage option accepts 24 Vac or 12 to 36 Vdc.
Optional embedded Ethernet on the 1Ω16 and 1Ω8 DIN models enables direct connection to Ethernet networks, allowing data transmission in standard TCP/IP packets or serving web pages over a LAN or the internet. Additional optional serial communications are configurable as RS232 or RS485, using straightforward ASCII commands or MODBUS®. All three communication interfaces—USB, Ethernet, and serial—can be installed and active simultaneously, enhancing the versatility of these digital panel meters.
DP41-S-Series: High Performance Strain Meter, High Resolution 6-Digit Display
The OMEGA® DP41-S indicators deliver outstanding performance as a strain gauge meter. With built-in excitation as a standard feature, the DP41-S allows users to select the input range via internal jumpers, while scaling to engineering units is easily done through the front keypad. This model accepts strain gauge bridge sensors as well as ratiometric voltage measurements. Programming the DP41-S is straightforward, thanks to five intuitive keypads on the front panel. Additionally, if the optional RS-232 or RS-485 communication interfaces are installed, operators can remotely configure all display parameters.
DP600A: Universal 6/12 Channel ¼ DIN Panel Meter, Universal Input
The DP606A and DP612A Series represent our latest line of cost-effective multi-channel panel meters, offering enhanced accuracy, wider operating temperature ranges, and greater flexibility compared to the previous CN606 and CN612 models. With isolated input, power, and communications, these meters ensure easier deployment and more reliable operation. Housed in a rugged extruded aluminum ¼ DIN case, they combine durability with improved isolation.
These versatile meters can accommodate up to 12 sensors and feature user-selectable RS232 or RS485 communications utilizing Modbus®. All models come standard with two user-configurable alarm relays. The universal input allows users to choose from various options, including Thermocouples (9 types), RTD 2-Wire, RTD 3-Wire, 4 to 20 mA, and 1000 mV inputs. Input selections can be easily adjusted through the front panel buttons or Modbus serial commands—no dip switch changes are necessary.
The DP606A and DP612A Series are ideal for a wide range of applications, including OEM instrumentation, automotive and aerospace test stands, factory automation, and power generation.
It is important to note that while the inputs are universal and can be modified via firmware (no dip switches required), all 6 or 12 inputs on a given unit must be set to the same type for operation.
These multi-zone panel meters are best configured using Omega Sync, a software tool that allows users to manage device runtime parameters, monitor process values, and easily export data. Currently, Omega Sync supports the CN616A and DP606A/DP612A models, with plans to expand compatibility to future products. For long-term data storage, we recommend the Omega Enterprise Gateway (OEG), which offers robust data historian capabilities, alarming, visualization, and OPC-UA integration.
