When a temp is reached does the dot stay black after the temp drops? I.E if the area I'm measuring reached a peak temp of 150 F and then cools down to 90 F will the 150 F dot still be black?

Yes, the TL-8-170-10 is a non-reversible label so when it reaches the temperature it turns black. It is a one time use. If you require a reversible label we do offer these too. Please see RLC-80-100/220-10. Thank you.
