This range of fan heaters uses Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) ceramic heating technology to provide the user with a product ideally suited to climate control. The heater can be controlled independently to the fan, allowing a “fan-only” mode for air circulation. The product has been designed, and approved, for build-in applications. It has a robust construction utilizing two anodized aluminum extrusions, coupled to a 40 mm (1.6") fan. The heating element is a PTC heater.

What's the BTU output for the 12v 60w unit please?

Asked by: Steve5342
Hi Steve, Thank you for the inquiry. Rating of 60 watts indicates it can produce 205 BTU/hr at lower operating range. The PTC style heating element will reduce this value as temperature rises. For temperature vs output detail please email us at HEATERS@OMEGA.COM. Best regards OMEGA

How is it mounted? Would it work in a campervan?

Asked by: AngelaH
The FCH-FGC10022R is a compact fan heater for small enclosures. Typical application is to heat a small electrical enclosure to keep components from dropping below their operating temperature range. Larger areas or enclosures would require more power to heat. We have emailed you the user guide for detailed instructions. Thank you for connecting with Omega!

Please send your inquiry to heaters@omega.com and instructions can be provided.

Can this heater be attached to a hose duct for use as a defroster and mounted remotely? If not do you have an inline heater for 2.5” duct?

Asked by: Jono
The Heater could have a tube of appropriate material attached and send heat through it to act as a defroster but Omega has not experimented to know how this should be configured. The Heater as long as it is powered correctly and in the recommended environment can be mounted remotely. Omega sells the AHF series duct heater which is 4" that could probably be reduced for your application.

Would this be suitable for application in a high speed boat console to control condensation at the dock (230 vac heater) and to reduce heat from installed electronics when underway (12 vdc fan)? High impacts/saltwater environment.

Asked by: DougH
There aren't any specifications for Shock and Vibration and electronics should always be protected from exposure to all water and significant humidity moisture of any type. If you can protect it you can try it at your own risk.
