The OMEGA ® DP41-S indicators offer exceptional performance in a strain gage meter. The DP41-S has standard built-in excitation. The input range is selected via internal jumpers, and scaling to engineering units is performed using the front keypad. The DP41-S accepts strain gage bridge sensors and ratiometric voltage measurements. Programming the DP41-S is accomplished through the five front panel keypads. If the optional RS-232 or RS-485 communications are installed, the operator can remotely set all display parameters.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money 1) No zero or Tate button. This is a basic function of nearly every instrument of this type. 2) No auto zero tracking. Again, a basic function found on every competitors equipment. 3) The scaling function simply does not work. Specifically, scaling with a known load will adjust span values while not changing zero. If your transducer has an output at no load (such as the case for any dead load), the only option is to put in an offset, which also changes span values. When one of these shows up in our calibration lab, we push the customer to buy something else. These are an absolute joke.

I have an older DP41-S with the older style RS-485 communications. I have not been able to establish communications with it. I have a few other things to try, but if it turns out the communication board is bad, can I buy a replacement RS-485 board?

Does the DP41-S Strain Gage Indicator have an up-to-date digital output? I'm aware of option DP40-B, however its 300-19,200 baud output is somewhat antiquated? Higher baud rate available? USB output available?

I did not find this code DP462 ?

Asked by: Steven Lee
The DP460 Series is an older display that has been discontinued for several year. The most current display the would take it's place is either the DP8PT (4 Digits) or the DP8EPT (6 Digits).

LC8250-625-40K is said to be compatible with DP41-S, the meter is to measure forces in lbs not strains, is this correct?

Asked by: Sismo
The DP41-S has a 6 digit scalable display so you can read directly in pounds force by scaling it to read 0 to 40000 count across the output signal from the load cell.

will it shorten the life of a DP41 meter if the input voltage is 128

Asked by: Treblig
Specification calls out a maximum of 126.5 VAC for the 115VAC powered version. We have no data on how 128 VAC would effect the unit
