Features

  • Measurement Type Strain
OMEGA™ transducer quality strain gages are available in a variety of patterns to cover most transducer design requirements. Their rugged construction, reliability and flexibility make them suitable for highly accurate static and dynamic transducers. The measuring grid is formed by specially formulated etching constantan foil, which is then completely sealed for long term reliability in a carrier medium composed of polyimide film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable results We used both aluminum and steel thermally compensated gages, both with excellent results (both in quarter bridge axial loading and half bridge beam bending applications). We are using a 32bit isolated analyzer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good It is good to using, data is correct and do not have any different with other gage.

What is the gauge factor for these strain gauges?

Asked by: Andrew33
Andrew, Thank you for contacting Omega Engineering. The Gage Factor will be 2.00 +/- 5% , the actual value will be printed on each package. If you have more questions, kindly email pressure@omega.com

Is this product have any data from the strain gauge after reliability test (ie. bending test). If so, could you kindly provide the data? thanks in advance.

Asked by: LLaurence
Hello, my apologies we do not have any data from reliability testing.

solder pads are of which material?

Asked by: Ekta
Thanks for your question. The SGT series are made from Constantan, a copper/nickel alloy. This is the material at the solder pads, which need a little abrasion and the use of a liquid flux to get a good solder join. Please contact our Tech Support if you have any further questions.
