OMEGA’s DFG55 advanced digital force gauges are designed for tension and compression force testing in numerous applications across virtually every industry. With capacities from 0.12 to 500 lb (0.5 to 2500 N) the gauges feature an industry-leading sampling rate of 7000 Hz, producing accurate results even for quick-action tests. Accuracy is ±0.1% of full scale ±1 digit, and resolution is 1/5000.

A large, backlit graphics LCD displays large, legible characters, while the simple menu navigation allows for quick access to the gauges’ many features and configurable parameters. Data can be transferred to a PC or other data collector via USB, RS232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic), or analog outputs.

On-board data memory for up to 1000 readings is included, as are statistical calculations and output to a PC. Integrated set points with indicators are ideal for pass-fail testing and for triggering external devices such as an alarm, relay, or test stand. The gauges are overload protected to 150% of capacity, and an analog load bar is shown on the display for graphical representation of applied force.

The DFG55’s averaging mode addresses the need to record the average force over time, useful in applications such as peel testing, while external trigger mode makes switch activation testing simple and accurate.

Our DFG55-20 is working fine, but we misplaced the wall supply. Is there a part number for just ordering the supply?

We have 2 DFG55-20. How are the display values determined? The display doesn't change 7000 times a second (sampling rate) so it must be using an algorithm. Is it reporting an average over the time between screen refreshes? Is there filtering?

I have a DFG55 force meter and it will not come on. It starts to come on but then shuts off before booting up completely. |I have replaced the battery with a fully charged on. Please help troubleshoot.

This is an internal failure of the unit. It can be returned for evaluation by contacting Omega's Customer Service at 1-800-826-6342 or by email cservice@omega.com

Yes I have a model DFG55-0.12. What are the deflections needed to get a certain force measured on the device?

Asked by: charlie2
Thank you for contacting Omega. The full-scale deflection for the DFG55-012 is approximately 0.005” (0.13 mm) at maximum load. For all other models in the DFG55 series it is 0.010” (0.25 mm). Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

How far does the hook pull out ? Do you offer any product where the hook can pull out like 1-2 feet? Thanks

Asked by: bsaub4444
Thank you for your inquiry These force gauges are only meant to be hung onto the do not pull out more then 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. We do not have a product that would pull out the distance you are requesting. Hope this was helpful.
