It provides 2 channels of configurable inputs, and supports multiple voltage, RTD, thermocouple inputs with auto reference junction compensation. If parallel connected to an external precise resistance, it accepts current signal input. Each channel has its own digital filtering and can adjust its filtering degree.
  • It generates two isolated current outputs, 4 to 20 or 0 to 20 mA. The range of retransmission output can be freely defined.
  • The model is DIN rail mounted. Its width is only 22.5 mm. The instrument can be easily configured by connecting to our E8 handset display.
  • Universal power supply of 100 to 240 Vac or 24 Vdc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value & space saver for cost I have a hobby greenhouse for peppers, tomatoes, peas, beans, carrots & cucumbers over the past 5 years. As a retired Instrument Technician (who enjoys the trade) I've mostly automated the greenhouse with used surplus instrumentation. After having some drifting issues with previous temperature xmtrs, I tried my luck with a pair of these TXDIN70-24 xmtrs & a Display unit 3 years ago. I was very pleased with the ease of setup, dual inputs & DC power version (I didn't want any AC influence on my T/Cs). I measure outside & various inside temps which are processed by these xmtrs before being passed on to other controls. A couple of years back I made a pair of removable mini greenhouses that I call 'Table-Frames'. They are tied together with 3" PVC dryer hose. Each has a removable wood framed glass roof & a 150W heater (earlier purchased from Omega that is pulse duration controlled via a PLC. A small fan in the left T-F recirculates the air. I use these to keep some seedlings just above freezing as the GH does go below freezing over the winter. These are removed late Spring to make room for other plant pots. I've since purchased another 2 TXDIN70-24s for each T-F as well as the deep Carrot bin soil temps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs to Be Packaged w/ Programmer Works well now, after a second purchase and additional $19 in shipping for programmer. A little frustrating that the signal conditioner comes without the programmer, and you have to order it separately. It seems like if you are familiar with the product, you should be able to special order it without the programmer, not the other way around where you are psyched for the modules price point, order it, get it on hand, and find you have to pay another $45+ dollars (including shipping) to simply use it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from FINE PRODUCT BUT STUPID ADD ON'S GOOD PRODUCT BUT YOU HAVE TO BUY THE PROGRAMMING UNIT WITH IT TOO

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price and easy to program. I used this transmitter to replace 2 ABB single channel units on RTD's at a quarter of the price. Very easy to program once I played around with the controller a bit.

I am going to have this connected to an ABB ACS800 via loop power. How do i wire it up so that the output is transmitted correctly? At the moment i have loop power coming into the transmitter at terminals 1 & 2.

Asked by: ITT EMD
Hi ITT EMD, Thank you for the inquiry. Unfortunately this unit will not work in a loop powered configuration. For assistance locating a loop powered transmitter please email TEMP@OMEGA.COM. Best regards, OMEGA

I'm measuring the temperature of electrically live components up to 700 VDC and VAC, and I'm look at using a few of these to isolate the signal so I can measure the TC's with a DAQ system. What is channel to channel isolation of this unit?

Asked by: Cwitry
Hi Cwitry Thank you for the inquiry. TXDIN70 inputs are not isolated from each other. Please forward your request to our data acquisition group at DAS@OMEGA.COM. Best regards OMEGA

What is the standard temperature at which the specifications are defined? For example, the Temperature Drift is stated in %FS/Degree C. For me to provide an Uncertainty Calculation it is require to know the difference between operating and spec temp.

Asked by: Lonzo
Hi Lonzo, Please forward this question to TEMP@DWYEROMEGA.COM. Best regards OMEGA

hello, This unit TXDIN70 i'm using did not transmit analog output, even display shows correct temperature. Happens on both output. Please advise.

Asked by: adli
Hi Adli, Most likely problem is the output wiring. Please review terminal connections for outputs. Second possibility could be the output scaling selected. Please review settings. Manual gives an example output scaling for reference. For more assistance please call us in the temperature group. 800-359-1660 and ask for the temperature tech support group. Best regards OMEGA
