The OMEGA™ CNi8DH and CNi8DVare high-quality, highly accuratesingle loop autotune PID temperatureand process controllers for 1/8 DIN(92 x 45 mm) horizontal or verticalpanel cutouts. Both devices featurethe same state-of-the-art technology,uncompromising accuracy, andquality backed by an extended5-year warranty.

The CNi8DH and CNi8DV aresimple to configure and use, whileproviding tremendous versatility anda wealth of powerful features.

The CNi8DH and CNi8DV comestandard with your choice of2 control or alarm outputs in almostany combination: solid state relaysrated at 0.5 A @ 120/240 VacForm "C" SPDT relays rated at3 A @ 120/240 Vac pulsed 10 Vdcoutput for use with an external SSRor analog output (0 to 10 Vdc or0 to 20 mA) selectable for control orretransmission of the process value.

The universal temperature andprocess instrument (CNi8 models)offer a selection of 10 thermocoupletypes as well as 2-, 3- or 4-wireRTDs, process voltage and current.The CNi8DH and CNi8DV are idealcontrollers for use with transmittersand amplified transducers. Built-inexcitation is standard (24 Vdc@ 25 mA). The units handle0 to 20 mA process current andprocess voltage in 3 scales:0 to 100 mV, 0 to 1V, and 0 to 10V.

As with all iSeries devices, the processvalue display can be programmedto change color between GREEN, AMBER, or RED at any setpointor alarm point. The LEDs displayingthe process value on the CNi8DH(horizontal 1/8 DIN) are the largestdigits of any 1/8 DIN controller.

The strain/process instrument(model CNiS) meters and controllersmeasure inputs from load cells,pressure transducers, and most anystrain gage sensor. Input rangesinclude 0 to 100 mVdc -100 mVdcto 1 Vdc 0 to 10 Vdc in addition to0 to 20 mA. Excitation for transducersof 5 V and 10 V is standard.

The highly recommended networkingand communications options includedirect Ethernet LAN connectivitywith an embedded Web server, andserial communications. The C24serial communications optionincludes both RS232 and RS485which can be selected from themenu as well as astraightforward ASCII protocol. The C4EIT optionincludes both Ethernet and RS485ASCII on 1 device.

The iSeries, with the networkoptions, are designed for easyintegration with popular industrialautomation and control programsas well as Microsoft Visual Basicand Excel. Can you tell me what terminals/jumpers to use if I have a 2 or 3 wire RTD on a CNI8DH33? The online manual doesn't describe this but does show the 4 lead connection.
