The CN4000 Series temperature/process controllers set a new standard for ease-of-use and value. Units feature dedicated input models with thermocouple and RTD inputs, and models with universal inputs for both temperature and process inputs. Standard features include autoune, fuzzy logic, fully adjustable PID or on/off single control output with one alarm. Selected thermocouple and RTD input models can show whole or tenth of degree display resolution. Output types include relay, dc pulse, or an isolated analog 0 to 20 mA output.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cn418v-r1-r2 I have been using these temperature controllers for about 5 or 6 years now with about 15 in operation at an oyster hatchery. They are quite good for the price, but only seem to last about 4 yrs and then they get unreliable. I still use them and have only had one go bad in the 2 yr. Warranty period. Omega quickly replaced this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation, works well. This is a great temp controller, easy to set up and use. Works as it should. Not much else to say. I installed this on my wood furnace to control the intake damper, both protecting from potential overheat situations, as well as maintaining a minimum flue temperature to prevent creosote build up. Works great! Program the correct settings and this temp controller has essentially automated my wood furnace to self regulate.

I have a cn4316-r1-r2. In the settings I can select Output type (Opt) as ssR, will this unit actually work with a DC ssr or is setting redundant?

Asked by: Brad905
The model has two relay outputs which are what is physically in the Controller. The Opt parameter should be set for rELy only for the R1/R2 model and the SSR driver models would be DC1/DC2.
