The OMEGA™ Spring Suspended Movement represents the new look of the future. Wearing parts have been reduced to a minimum. The entire movement is now suspended between two springs, the Bourdon tube above and the link below. For the user, this means greater resistance to mechanical shock and vibration. This increased resistance to the effects of rough usage contributes to longer gauge life.

The high reliability of the OMEGA™ commercial gauge line is chiefly attributable to the unique OMEGA™ spring-suspended movement. The entire movement is suspended between 2 springs, the Bourdon tube above and the link below. Wearing parts have been reduced to a minimum. Movement parts are ultrasonically cleaned and lubricated with silicone oil to ensure long cycle life. The OMEGA™ spring suspended movement is largely resistant to shock, pulsation, and vibration. The result is longer gauge life. The numerous applications for OMEGA™ commercial gauges include installation on pumps, portable compressors, industrial machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, instrumentation, and pressurized vessels.

What is the minimum distance I should move the pressure gauge away from accessories (elbows, valves, tees, reductions, etc.) in water pipe systems? Both upstream and downstream.

Asked by: Junior Mujica
Pressure unlike should be same throughout the system regardless of where it is being measured. It should not matter where you place the gauge.

A fluid immediately after passing through some accessory, generates turbulence affecting the velocity profile of the fluid, this stabilizes after the fluid advances through the system, can this turbulence affect the reading in the case of a manometer?

Asked by: Junior Mujica
Junior, these pressure gauges are rated for steady static pressures. Any turbulence or spikes in pressure will affect the diaphragm of the pressure gauge, we do not recommend using these gauges for turbulent pressures.

The brochure shows a high limit stop for the needle - does the compound model 30V/30 have a high stop?

Asked by: CW952
Thanks for the inquire All PGC gauge regardless of range have a stop on the high pressure end. There would not be any stop on the vacuum side of scale since you would never be able to achieve a full vacuum.

Can this gauge be used to measure propane pressure?

Asked by: SRS73
The wetted parts on this gauge are brass and bronze. They should be ok with propane

Can these gauges be installed outdoors? Is the lens made of glass or plastic?

Asked by: Rami
Thank you for this inquire. This gauge has a plastic lens. We have Test Gauges like the PGT that have glass fronts. Hope this was helpful.

what is the minimum design temperature of this pressure gauge? I plan to use it on chilled glycol water with minimum temperature of -10C, is this gauge suitable?

Asked by: AlbertL
The PGC gauges can be used down to a temperature of -40 providing the temperature media does not freeze
