OMEGALUX™ silicone rubber fiberglass insulated flexible heaters can improve heat transfer and speed warm-ups where controlled heating is required in confined areas. Two circuit designs are available: etched foil or wire wound. Heaters with etched foil designed elements are available where the length or width dimension is less than 12"(305 mm). All other heaters where both the length and the width dimensions exceed 12" (305 mm) use the wire-wound element design. Effect of power density: gentle warming is best done with 2.5 W/in2. A good all purpose unit is the 5 W/in2. Rapid warm-up and high temperature are achieved with the 10 W/in2; however, temperature must be controlled as the safe maximum operating temperature limit of 450°F (232°C) may be exceeded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely incredible bed! I purchased this heat pad to use as the heatbed heating element in my build of the VORON CoreXY 3D printer, and I couldn't be happier. It works flawlessly, heating up insanely quick without any kind of dips in temperature over the duration of the build. I've only just become aware of Omega as a company, but I know that I'll be coming back for more of their products in the very near future!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from heater gets hot The heater was wrapped around a 1" diameter aluminum bar and did not stick as well as one would hope. Expensive shipping. Kinda feels like it was more expensive than it should be.

Just what I needed in a low clearance location under the heated bed of a 3D printer to get some heat out near the edges (I bought four 1x8" strips). The stock printer has a heater only in the middle area of the printing bed so there's a lot of temperature dropoff toward the outside. Not now:-) I connected these to a lamp dimmer switch and I set an approximate Wattage and let the printer's control circuit make up the difference to do its set pint control.
